Indication: Polaramine is intended for allergies, pruritus, allergic rhinitis, hives, insect bites, allergic conjunctivitis, atopic dermatitis (a type of skin inflammation) and allergic eczema (dermatitis).
Dosage: Adults and children over 12 years: 5mL 3 to 4 times a day. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 12mg/day (ie 30mL/day). Children 6 to 12 years old: 2.5mL three times a day. A maximum of 6mg daily (i.e. 15mL/day). Children from 2 to 6 years old: 1.25mL three times a day. A maximum of 3mg daily (i.e. 7.5mL/day). Please follow the way of use. When not to use this medication: This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula or to other antihistamines with a similar chemical structure. Polaramine, like other antihistamines, should not be used in premature infants or newborns and in patients who are using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). This medication is contraindicated for children under 2 years of age.
