Indications: Polaramine is intended for allergies, pruritus, allergic rhinitis, hives, insect bites, allergic conjunctivitis, atopic dermatitis (a type of skin inflammation) and allergic eczema (dermatitis). It has fast action that lasts up to 12 hours. Oral use. Adult and pediatric use.
Contraindications: Contraindicated for patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. Do not use Polaramine if you use a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). Also contraindicated for children under 12 years of age.
Adverse reactions: Mild or moderate drowsiness may occur, in addition to hives, itching, pruritus, skin eruptions, skin sensitivity when exposed to the sun, increased sweating, chills, low blood pressure, headache and palpitation.
Precautions: Attention diabetics: it contains sugar, so it should be used with caution in patients with diabetes. Contains dyes that may eventually cause allergic reactions. Antiallergic drugs have an additive effect with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants, such as sedatives, hypnotics and tranquilizers. During treatment, the patient should not drive vehicles or operate machinery, as their ability and attention may be impaired. Antiallergic drugs can cause excitement in children. Pregnant women, nursing mothers and children should only use Polaramine under indication/recommendation of the doctor or dentist.
